Visiting artist Jason Kofke speaks at the Santa Fe College Art Gallery about his influences, his current exhibit, and his project, EVERYTHING WILL BE OK.
Dudley Farm Historic State Park, located a few miles from Santa Fe College’s Northwest Campus, is a great resource in our community, helping to preserve the history of Gainesville/Alachua County. Not only is the authentic working farm an enjoyable place to visit, there’s also a lot of opportunities for learning. Learn more about what there is to see and do at the old farm house in our new documentary.
The leadership at SF asked me to produce a documentary-style video for Dudley Farm on behalf of the college in the spirit of community partnership. It was a pleasure to produce and I’m very pleased with how it turned out. Hopefully it draws some attention to this really cool resource here in Gainesville’s backyard.
My co-workers and I at Communications and Creative Services developed the #SF1stDay social media campaign for the first day of the semester and new academic year. We had a few dry erase marker board quote bubbles produced and had them available for photos at welcome stations on campus. Here is a design I put together to promote the campaign and a couple shots I took and posted on SF’s behalf.
Convocation, our college wide coming together of employees was held Friday. I produced several videos for the program on topics ranging from sustainability, to shared governance and new software. Plus, I got to open the program by sharing aerial video I shot during test flights with our new quadcopter.
On stage with Dr. Sasser and a DJI Phantom 2 in front of the faculty and staff at our college wide meeting in the 600 seat Fine Arts Hall
Some of the videos I produced for convocation were created for a one-time showing in front of an internal audience, I.e. not of much interest to the general public. However, we’re publicizing this piece about the new app for students that IT has developed.
For other examples of the type of work I produce for convocation, here is a video I made about the Quality Enhancement Plan and the work they’re doing with Navigating the College Experience and another about IT and their MyStatus website.
The SF Teaching Zoo has opened a new enclosure for the white handed gibbons. Today the door opened and Cajun and Eddie entered the enclosure for the first time, followed by little Rainer. Stay tuned for more. You won’t want to miss our video of Rainer joining his mother and father in their new space!
I was there to see the gibbons at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo enter their brand new enclosure for the first time. I posted this :15 Instagram clip that afternoon, but will have a full video about the gibbons and their new home in the near future.
